Constructed with a wood composite core, black textured exterior panels, and reinforced faux-leather trim, the trunk features brass-tone metal hardware throughout, including corner guards, riveted banding, latches, and a central locking clasp. The original leatherette handle is embossed with the Concourse™ name.
Notably, the trunk retains its original “Roll It” manufacturer’s label, referencing the integrated rear wheels that allow the trunk to be tilted and rolled—an innovative feature for its time and a clear precursor to contemporary wheeled luggage. The wheels are discreetly mounted on one end, preserving the classic trunk silhouette while adding functionality.
The interior is clean and unfinished, showing its original pressed-wood panels and warning label, consistent with period manufacturing. This piece works beautifully as a decorative storage trunk, bench-style coffee table, or statement accent in industrial, travel-inspired, or eclectic interiors.
