It took us a year to obtain this piece and we're super excited to have it in our hands, and to make it available for you. When you find a well executed mosaic it's a breath of fresh air. And we love everything about this vintage Mid-Century Modern creation. It starts with the color choices—especially our favorite green— to the irregularly shaped tesserae's, to the abstract humanoid like figures, to the balance of all elements together, to the care taken to create shadows and rounded corners. Though the mosaic technique used is traditional, the result of the final image is layered and complex. It's an art work that will keep you memorized.
The piece is not signed but the framing was done in New York so very possibly a New York artist.
