This original ceramic vessel is hand-thrown and wood-fired, resulting in a richly tactile surface shaped by flame, ash, and time. The warm ochre-brown clay body is marked by dramatic, serpentine ash deposits that move vertically around the form, creating dark, volcanic trails embedded into the glaze.
Subtle variations in tone from honeyed browns to charcoal blacks reflect the unpredictability of the wood-firing process, while glossy rivulets and matte passages coexist across the surface. The form is gently tapered with a rounded lip and unglazed foot, emphasizing its handmade character. Each side reveals a slightly different composition, making the piece visually dynamic from every angle.
Both sculptural and functional in spirit, this vessel works beautifully as a standalone object, a small vase, or a contemplative studio-pottery accent. A singular work that highlights the dialogue between material, fire, and hand.
