Surviving fragments of this scale—over 6½ feet in length—are increasingly scarce on the market, particularly examples with such rich blues, greens, and ochres still present.

This tapestry depicts a classic verdure landscape: lush foliage rendered in layered tonalities of indigo, celadon, soft gold, umber, and deep forest green. A graceful tree rises through the composition, framed by stylized florals and a distant architectural balustrade—motifs characteristic of the Flemish workshops of Oudenaarde, Brussels, and Audenarde in the late 1600s.

The hand-woven wool and silk yarns show centuries of gentle wear, repairs, and abrash, which only enhance its authenticity and historic charm.
