This is a hard-to-find set of 6 Shiny Brites - in the UFO/Lantern shape or more commonly referred to as … Read more This is a hard-to-find set of 6 Shiny Brites - in the UFO/Lantern shape or more commonly referred to as teardrop or egg shape. The box appears to be original with cutouts holding the ornaments perfectly. Five ornaments have the original crimped hanger top labeled ‘Shiny Brite’ and ‘Made in USA’. The purple one has a holder marked ‘Made in USA’ only. They measure approx 3-1/4” long x 2-1/2” wide all having a colorful striped pattern. The mica coatings are in very good shape for their age - post WW2!
The ornaments show moderate wear, with some discoloration, small ‘spot nicks’ where the color is gone and a few smears. Please see photos. Ornaments were slightly rotated for each pic to get an overall view. There are no cracks or chips. Even with their ‘flaws’, you can tell they are definitely Shiny Brites in all their bright and wonderful colors!! See less
