The frames feature hand-carved shells, acanthus leaves, and scrolling motifs, all highlighted with traces of original giltwood that have softly aged over time, giving the set a warm, authentic, timeworn character.

The wood surfaces exhibit a desirable distressed, layered finish—a mix of exposed carving, remnants of old paint and gilding, and natural wear consistent with age—creating the ideal antique look that designers love.
