Biedermeier secretary in plumb wood and walnut burl. Three-drawer base, surmounted by a drop-down door concealing a walnut and maple cabinet. It comprises an open central compartment with a pair of turned columns, a projecting drawer below, four plus four side drawers, and a three-part upper drawer with a projecting central section. Fabric insert on the interior shelf. Marble top with a drawer below, bracket feet, and fir interior. Minor losses. Austria, mid-19th century. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
