A dynamic pair of vintage Japanese Kutani Foo Dogs (Shishi), crafted in ceramic during Japan’s Showa Era (likely 1980s). These guardian lions are traditionally placed at thresholds to ward off evil and invite protection — and this matched duo amplifies that energy with bold symmetry and ornate detail.
Each lion features a red-scaled body, swirling gold accents, and floral motifs in blue, white, and gold. Their fierce expressions and open mouths evoke active protection, while both paws rest atop pierced decorative orbs — symbols of cosmic power and spiritual dominion. Stylized tails and curled manes complete their commanding presence. Together, they form a unified display of strength and watchfulness — ideal for altars, entryways, or collectors of Asian spiritual art.

Lion B: 7½" tall × 6" wide × 5" deep, 1 lb 14 oz
