The soft pad ea 215 is the high-back, fixed-base lounge version of the iconic aluminium group by charles and ray eames. Introduced in 1969, the soft pad collection enriches the crisp architectural lines of the original aluminium group with three individually upholstered cushions, creating a refined balance between comfort and sculptural clarity.
unlike the swivel-based ea 216, this ea 215 model features a fixed four-star aluminium base, offering a stable, relaxed seating position ideal for reading corners, lounge areas, executive offices, or refined modern interiors.
this example is upholstered in dark brown leather with a beautifully aged patina that highlights the chair’s vintage authenticity.
