This restored mid-century commode was designed by Jirí Jiroutek and produced in Czechoslovakia in the 1960s. The piece is one of his most recognizable designs, featuring distinctive color-block lacquered drawers in black, white, and pink, contrasted with a solid oak body. The top panel was professionally sanded, stained with oak dye, and finished with three layers of hard wax oil for durability and depth. The remaining wooden sections were carefully cleaned and nourished with high-quality wood oil. The commode retains its original character while offering refreshed mid-century elegance. A functional and collectible example of Czechoslovak modernist furniture.
