The piece features a pull-out writing desk with contemporary leather, as well as a top drawer with mahogany interior, a testament to the quality of craftsmanship in 19th-century Ligurian workshops.

The base is supported by an elegant central shaft with four richly carved legs, curved and sculpted with plant motifs and scrolls, distinctive elements of Genoese production of the time.
