StandOut Spaces completed a full transformation of the set for Corey Damen Jenkins’ celebrated “Looking Glass Dining Room” at the 50th Anniversary Kips Bay Decorator Show House, where the chairs became a defining element of one of the most talked-about rooms of the exhibition. Each chair was meticulously restored - structurally reinforced, the oak hand-refinished, and the seats completely rebuilt - before being upholstered in Baïne Blush, a warm rose-blush sculpted jacquard velvet by Métaphores, the Hermès-affiliated Parisian textile house known for its sensorial jacquard designs. The fabric’s carved, tidal pattern enhances the architecture of the chairs, catching light across every curve and creating a rich, dimensional surface that feels both contemporary and true to French Art Deco. With documented showhouse provenance, couture-level restoration, and exceptional visual presence, this unified set represents a rare fusion of historic craftsmanship, Parisian haute textile design, and current design-world relevance.
