The sculptural body is shaped in a gentle squash form and rests on three gilt feet, with a matching lid topped by an arched gilt handle.

The jar bears the sought-after green M-in-Wreath Nippon mark used by Morimura Brothers between 1911 and 1921, confirming it as an authentic pre-1921 export piece. The artistry throughout—particularly the depth of the shading, the crisp floral detailing, and the intact gilt accents—makes it a standout example of this period.

Condition is excellent with no chips, cracks, or repairs. Only minor, age-appropriate wear to the gold, with the hand-painted surface remaining vibrant and luminous.
