Charming visuals in vibrant colors of yellow, red, green, orange, black, brown, periwinkle and blue.
Several Italian artists, including Giovanni De Simone, by whom these pieces were influenced, used the cubist aesthetic of Pablo Picasso as a base and created an amalgam of Italian folk art (simplicity, inaccuracy and crudeness of subject) with modernism in the use of color and shape.
Tiles out of frames are marked "Made in Italy."
Each framed tile measures roughly - H: 6.88" x L: 6.88" x D: 1.5" (slight dimensional disparity between the three).
Excellent, vintage condition with only light wear/patina to the wooden frames.
