A matched pair of Song Dynasty style, Long Quan kiln, porcelain wine cups, with a teadust glazed exterior, interior and inset base, with burnt umber highlights, finely carved, archaic pixiu handles and a finely carved, dragon foot. The body and foot are encircled with finely carved bands of archaic symbols, chevrons, and stylized dragons, and a band of cloud and thunder meanders is carved between the dragon foot and the waist of each cup. Circa Republic of China period, no later than mid century.
