Colin … Read more This impressive example of an early 20th century French Rococo palace size clock set comes from the prestigious E. Colin & Cie of Paris foundry. The sculpted ensemble is detailed with crisp elaborate scrolling accented with a full figure cupid with quiver atop the clock. The clock & candelabras are decorated in a brilliant gold doré' finish. The set was commissioned by Tiffany & Co. & featured in the 1900, Paris Exposition. The clock has Roman numerals & bears "Tiffany & Co." on its stunning white enamel face. This face is surrounded by floral scrolls. Beneath is the face of Bacchus, framed by a pair of mythological fish. Complimenting this key wind clock with bell chime movement centerpiece is a pair of flamboyant multi armed candelabra. Each piece of the set bears the circular impressed seal of the world renown foundry "E. Colin & Cie, Paris" Further examination also reveals the stamp of the 1900, Paris Exposition! See less
