This exceptional pair of porcelain statues was made in Germany by Volkstadt in the early 1930's. The beautifully detailed pair identifies festively costumed young men celebrating the harvest of the field. Each figure is rendered with precision accuracy & lifelike hand done coloration. Both figures are positioned on a floral platform, standing upright with one hand holding a large basket of fruit on their head. Each costume, flower accent & nature's bounty is vividly painted in bright bold colors. The base of each statue is marked GERMANY, Ens-Porzellan Volkstadt & bears the company logo in green. The figures are in excellent condition.
