This … Read more This vintage early 20th century ornamental 800 silver sauce boat is beautifully designed by the German silversmith, Lazarus Posen. This exceptionally crafted silver sauce boat is designed with a new classical motif. It has a stunning sculpted & handsomely tooled shell shape body with a pedestal base mounted upon an oval underplate of matching design. The interior of the “boat” has a subtle contrasting gold wash. The base of the underplate is clearly stamped, L. Posen, with 800 hallmarks & numbered 58793. It is in museum quality condition. See less
