From the evidence left behind (seen in the photos), it seems that it belong to a larger unit. That being said though, today it completely stands on its own merit. And we envision this beauty as a countertop addition, be it in a kitchen, living room, study, or really anywhere. It will add a touch of warmth to any room or decor, with its luscious wafer-like front rounded corners shelfs, which have gathered a life time of character and weathering. We used some pottery to illustrate its use, but you can also use it for small vases, books or such things you like to show off.

The old wood is truly beautiful and we left it as found, unpolished and untouched as some of you prefer.

Please do note that the bobbin reels do bob around a little; so the unit will sway sideways if you were to tug or nudge it from one of its sides. In other words it's not rock solid but also not falling apart. You can easily lift it up by the top shelf and it holds together of course. And once you place it in its place it's just fine.
