An octagonal Art Deco vase made of cut glass. A tall vase of layered blue and clear glass in the style of Carl Meltzer, of Czech origin from the 1930s. Its characteristic geometric form and contrasting color layers reference the überfangglas technique, typical of the interwar production of glass workshops in Haida (today’s Nový Bor). A minimalist Art Deco elegance combined with precise cutting and purity of line. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
issues arising from misattribution
