Most likely made in England, this vintage cane perfectly embodies the British Countrycore trend. Dating to around the mid-20th century, its design nods to a more retro aesthetic. The shaft, made of walnut-stained beechwood, measures 88.5 cm in length and tapers from a diameter of a couple of centimeters toward the tip. The wooden stick is topped with a silver-plated cylindrical handle measuring 5 cm in diameter and 3 cm in height. The handle features a raised, medallion-like decoration depicting a man in elegant country attire—including a bowler hat—firing a rifle. Whether he is a hunter or a clay-pigeon shooter is unclear, but his gentlemanly attitude is unmistakable. The cane is used but in good condition. Signs of age and wear are visible on the handle, where the gold tone of the brass beneath the silver plating can be seen. The wood has been treated with a specialty wax.
