A colorful, handmade nutcracker of a court jester by Christian Ulbricht that he has signed on the base.
The jester carries a staff in the shape of a puppet with bells. The colors are bright and eye-catching. The nutcracker rests on a rectangular, undecorated hardwood.
A burnt branded mark on the base reads Holzkunst Christian Ulbricht Handmade in Germany (therefore post unification). These words form a circle around a tree with a nutcracker. It is hand signed in black ink by Christian on the base.
MEASUREMENTS
5 in (12.7 cm) wide x 6 in (12.4 cm) deep x 18 ½ in (47 cm) tall. Weighs 1 lb 15.4 oz.
CONDITION
There is one button missing from the front. One of the bell garters is missing and there’s a bit of glue residue where it was attached. There are a few wear marks to the handle and two spots with residue on the lower portions of his coat. Otherwise, the nutcracker looks nearly new.
