This vintage French photo frame dates from the early 20th century. The rectangular shape mahogany frame is accented with a silver-plate decorative etched book plate. The bottom of the book plate reads "Le Tablier Neuf" (The New Apron) & the subject of the etching is a scene of three peasant women admiring a new apron on a child. I believe one of the women made this apron. The etching is signed by the artist & printer. The frame has a working easel back &, also, a hook for hanging. This decorative frame will hold a 3 1/2" X 2 1/2" photograph behind thick beveled glass. It is in very good condition & awaits a new owner to display their own personal photo.
