This vintage early 20th century gilt bronze sculpture depicts Bodhisattva in a partial lotus position with hands in the earth touching position (bhumisparsa mudra). The figure is clothed in an elaborately decorated attire & is seated upon a three tier pedestal base. I purchased this piece from the Hastings, N.Y. estate of the Nobel prize winner in economics, C.S. Vickery.
