This Continental late 19th century painting bears the KPM blue scepter mark on the back of the oval porcelain. A young attractive woman wearing a fashionable costume of the period is the subject. Though unsigned, the quality of the painting is evident. The meticulous details of her face & jewelry speak to the skill of this undocumented artist. There is a high gloss finish that highlights the sharp vivid painted colors. The KPM is beautifully framed in an ornate dore’ bronze frame with easel back. The frame is signed HS in the shield.
