Decorated … Read more A charming Victorian Aesthetic Movement transferware tureen by T. Elsmore & Son, England, dating to the late 19th century. Decorated in warm sepia tones, the piece features delicate border florals and a tranquil riverside scene with reeds and a resting water bird — a hallmark motif of the era’s fascination with nature and Japonism. The tureen sits on a raised pedestal base and has sculpted handles and domed lid, making it a striking decorative accent for English country, cottage, or primitive interiors. Perfect for display in open shelving, hutches, or layered tablescapes with brown transferware and ironstone. Measures approximately 8.5" long including handles, 4.5" deep and 5.5" including lid. In very good antique condition with age-appropriate crazing and faint toning. No cracks or repairs observed, but some small flea bits on the underside of the lid. Displays beautifully. See less
