An iconic 1971 design by Verner Panton for Fritz Hansen, the "Pantonova" armchairs are among the Danish brand's most sought-after pieces. The shell is constructed from a continuous grid of chromed steel rods, bent into a fluid S-shaped profile that integrates the seat and backrest; the parallel slats recede and wrap around the corners with graphic elegance. The expressive use of metal in furniture, a key feature of the 1970s, thanks also to Panton, takes center stage here.
