A female figure from the italian ceramics manufacturer lenci, known as "raccettazione" (resignation), created by helen konig scavini (1886-1974), depicts a veiled female figure with crossed hands. The figure is made of cast earthenware with polychrome enamel decoration in shades of yellow and brown on a black background.
under the base is the lenci inscription: made in italy turin 7-3-33 – xi – ie.
this 1930s model by elena scavini is an art deco ceramic sculpture with a tapered line and a very modern polychrome decoration. It is in good condition, having been restored. This piece has an attribution mark,
i am sure that it is completely authentic and take full responsibility for any authenticity
issues arising from misattribution
