This vintage … Read more Presented for your consideration is a crystal liquor cocktail glass in the PIRATENSIEGEL / PIRATE / PIRAT pattern. This vintage glass has a clear blown crystal cupola with a cutlass and axe crest attached in light smoke color. The slightly rounded heavy clear base is quite substantial measuring 3/4 of an inch thick.

This is a retired mid-century modern crystal pattern that was designed by Björn Wiinblad (1918 to 2006). It was produced from circa 1950 to 1974 by Philip Rosenthal & Co., Amberg, Bavaria, Germany. It is in excellent condition and marked with the etched crowned R as shown. There are no nicks, dings, chips, scratches nor repairs.
