This piece features a carved horseshoe style … Read more An antique oak horseshoe shaped footstool with wooden spike or knob shaped appliques. This piece features a carved horseshoe style framework with unique knob or spike-like wooden appliques around the edges of the upholstered center. Two of the wooden knobs have been knocked off or removed over time, revealing that each knob is set into the main framework with a little peg extension on the underside of the applique. The golden upholstery is worn and stained but certainly adds character to the piece. The stool is sturdy and could easily be reupholstered if one desired to do so.
