A vibrant and symbol-rich work by Filipino-American artist Jeffrey Wilcox Paclipan, “Natural Order” (2007) is an expressive mixed-media abstract painting executed in acrylic on a sturdy plywood panel. Designed in a segmented, window-like composition, the piece blends bold color fields with layered textures and stylized organic motifs—birds, butterflies, botanical silhouettes, droplets, and celestial forms—each emerging from an energetic, swirling background of reds, blues, greens, and neutrals.
Paclipan’s signature approach is evident through his use of collage-style outlines, dimensional paint application, and dynamic interplay between chaos and structure. The black grid framework anchors the composition while allowing each compartment to narrate its own story, resulting in a piece that feels both spontaneous and intentionally orchestrated. The artwork carries the title “Natural Order” hand-inscribed on the lower front edge and again on the back of the panel, with the artist’s signature and date.
A visually captivating work that merges abstract expressionism with symbolic figuration, making it an exceptional addition for collectors who appreciate bold contemporary art with cultural depth.
