Charming small English oak side table dating to the early 19th century (late Georgian / Regency period). The rectangular top is cut from a single wide plank of quarter-sawn oak with attractive ray-fleck grain and a narrow molded edge. Below, a plain frieze is shaped into a simple scalloped apron on the front and supported on four slender, square tapering legs that give the table a light, elegant profile.

A single drawer runs the full width of the front and is fitted with a brass bail pull (almost certainly a later replacement). The drawer interior and underside show hand-worked surfaces and good age. The table retains an old, warm reddish-brown finish with scattered marks, scratches, small losses, and areas of surface speckling and wear to the top from two centuries of use—exactly the sort of honest patina collectors look for. Structurally sound and ready to use.

Perfect as a lamp table, bedside, hall table, or small writing / laptop stand.
