An unusual vintage Chinese solid wood three-panel continuous rounded-corner long display table, Qin table (Qin An, 琴案*) in simple-and-elegant Ming-Style … Read more An unusual vintage Chinese solid wood three-panel continuous rounded-corner long display table, Qin table (Qin An, 琴案*) in simple-and-elegant Ming-Style design, the side panels and top panel constructed in miter and dovetail joints, a larger opening (Kaiguang, 开光) on each side panel, both feet ending in the stylish inward cloud-scroll form, overall except the underneath of the top panel finished with distressed enamel lacquer in ivory white color, good used condition with surface wear and patina, a few narrow splits on the side panels

*A table in this kind of style was traditionally used to play the Qin or Guqin (古琴, the zither). The qin is one of China’s oldest and most revered musical instruments, closely associated with Confucius (551–479) and the Huizong emperor (reigned 1101–1125) of the Song dynasty (960–1279).
