Executed in bronze with a refined patina and accented with jewel-like stones, the surface has an almost luminous, celestial quality. Mounted on a solid marble base, the work reflects Kieff’s lifelong exploration of volume, rhythm, and space. From a limited edition of only six and numbered 1/6, this piece offers strong collector appeal. The contrast between the gem-studded bronze and the grounded marble base creates a striking presence suited to a refined modern interior, gallery, or corporate setting. I tested the stones using a Presidium Gem Tester II, and the results were unexpected. The clear, diamond-like stones tested as quartz, while the red stones consistently tested as ruby. I located a published book by the artist that includes a chapter on jewelry; however, I have not been able to find any documented examples of jewelry by Kieff.
