A heavy fluorite has been carved by hand in the shape of a censer or brush washer. The outside is ring with carved prunus branches and blossoms. The stone is a pale ice green color. It has many inclusions like a fractured mirror. An old hardwood stand has been hand carved to fit the stone. The stand has the word CHINA etched into the base.

MEASUREMENTS
Brush wash – 3 5/8 in (9.2 cm) diameter x 2 in (5.1 cm) tall
With stand – 2 ¾ in (7.0 cm) tall.
Weighs 15.7 oz.

CONDITION
There are many natural fissures in the stone, but they are not damages. Some of the petals on several cherry blossom appear to be chipped, although that might have occurred during manufacture, since the stone is very brittle. The stand is in very good condition.

A work of nature that has been hand carved to adorn a scholar’s desk. It looks like ice but it won't melt. See less
