A serpentine dragon, butterflies and stylised birds animate the surface, framed by vibrant gilding that heightens the composition. The aesthetic reflects regency fascination with exotic imagery and strong colour contrasts, making the plate a visually compelling display piece.

the reverse features an iron-red floral border and a small pseudo-sèvres monogram—an early 19th-century decorative device used by several english workshops to evoke continental refinement. The plate has a strong presence and works beautifully as a wall or shelf display within a curated interior.
