Its generous size and the quality of the carvings make it an excellent decorative accessory for classical settings or studies.

Subject and Style: The vase, with an elongated bottle-like shape (similar to an alabastron or lekythos), features rich figurative decoration running along the central body. On one side, a dynamic Greco-Roman wrestling scene (pancration) with athletes and a judge is depicted; on the other, a standing, draped mythological figure (probably Dionysus). The neck is adorned with a classic motif of stylized palmettes. The internal details of the figures are not only painted, but also sgraffito-engraved, a technique that gives depth to the design.

Material and Finish: Made of glazed terracotta in the black and ochre/orange tones typical of Greek pottery.
