A typical wine jug traditionally used in Galicia, Spain. The entire body rests on a wooden base, made of warp strips, probably oak, over which very narrow wicker strips are woven. The interior of the jug is waterproof, and it is still in use in many Galician taverns. It is in excellent condition, with minor signs of wear due to age and use. See less
