Kähler, Denmark. Very large ceramic dish with colourful pattern. Decorated in clear, deep colours with blue berries, violet leaves, and green trailing vines on a light background. Along the rim is a decorative border, typical of Kähler ceramics from this period. Signed on the underside.

A striking and decorative piece of Danish pottery from one of the country’s most traditional workshops. Kähler Keramik was founded in Næstved in 1839 and is renowned for its fine craftsmanship, artistic decorations, and collaborations with many of Denmark’s most celebrated ceramic artists. The workshop played a central role in Danish studio pottery throughout the 20th century.
