Also, it features a large, dark, three-masted sailing ship anchored or moving slowly near the shore, with several smaller boats and figures visible on the water. A tree line and landmass form the background.

The early 20th century antique painting is on canvas in varied colors of blue, green and warm yellow to tan and is surrounded by a traditional ridged solid wood frame. The piece is unsigned. Primitive hardware on back is included for ease of hanging.
