Made of lightweight woven cotton with sewn stripes, and a sturdy cotton header with metal grommets, the flag has all the hallmarks of early–mid 20th-century craftsmanship.

The cotton has softened over time, giving the flag the sought-after patina that only decades of natural aging can produce—gentle fading, toning to the whites, original stitch lines visible throughout, and small historic wear consistent with actual use. A few period repairs and tiny holes contribute to its authenticity and charm.
