Expertly handwoven in the Konya region of Central Turkey, this 2'7" x 4'1" Vintage Turkish Tulu Rug showcases a unique combination of Angora wool on a wool kilim foundation. The term Tulu, meaning "Hairy" in Turkish, refers to the lustrous and soft Angora hair that is hand knotted onto the kilims. These rugs were traditionally used by nomadic tribes to keep warm during the harsh winters of the Anatolian plateau. Today, these tribal works of art with their bold geometric designs and vibrant colors, have become a must-have accent piece in contemporary interiors.
