A beautifully preserved pair of antique Wilcox Silver Plate Co. quadruple plate salt cellars, pattern 3709, crafted in Meriden, Connecticut during the late 19th to early 20th century. These charming tableware accents feature richly embossed floral repoussé detailing encircling the body, finished with a gently scalloped rim and original warm gold-wash interiors.
Both cellars are stamped on the underside:
WILCOX SILVER PLATE CO. / QUADRUPLE PLATE / MERIDEN, CONN / 3709
Their petite scale and ornate Victorian styling make them ideal for display, gifting, or repurposing as ring bowls or decorative mini vessels. A lovely example of early American silver-plate craftsmanship and Meriden’s storied silver-making history.
