This specific carving is a souvenir replica of the famous stone monument in Lucerne, Switzerland, which honors the Swiss Guards who died during the French Revolution in 1792. The base of the carving has the phrase Helvetiorum Fidei ac Virtuti (“To the loyalty and bravery)
