Louis XV marquetry commode with an Imperial marble top. The commode has a slightly rounded profile.
This piece is crafted in the Louis XV style, with the characteristic curve of its front and cabriole legs. The top is made of Imperial marble in a brown tone with white and ochre accents. The edge is finished with an elegant curved detail.
It is made of high-quality wood, with marquetry of fine woods in angular shapes that draw the eye to the central area. The marquetry features a herringbone pattern.
It has three drawers, each with a lock and handle. All the fittings are original, and the handles, locks, and leg finials are made of bronze with rocaille and arabesque decoration. The slender, curved legs help to elevate the piece, giving it a lighter appearance, complementing the typical curved forms of the Rococo style.
