The piece features a beautifully balanced, … Read more A striking large stoneware table lamp by Sejer Ceramics, Denmark, dating to the 1960s. The piece features a beautifully balanced, hand-thrown body with a deep charcoal glaze accented by expressive cobalt blue incised brushwork. The surface displays the subtle irregularities and tactile texture characteristic of Sejer’s studio production, giving the lamp an artisanal presence. The sculptural form is complemented by a woven rattan shade, whose warm natural tones contrast elegantly with the lamp’s dark, gestural glaze. Together, the materials create an organic, modernist aesthetic aligned with mid-century Danish craft traditions. Signed "Sejer" underneath. Sejer Keramik is known for a small production of stoneware objects handmade at Fridtjof Sejersens workshop in the outskirts of Odense, Denmark. All of the production was made by hand and some of the larger items were unique pieces as this lamp indicated by the signature ("unik") underneath. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
