On offer is this gorgeous art glass bowl by newly retired Hawaiian glass artist, Michael Mortara. This is a piece from the artist's Mirage Series. It is footed and features a wide, squat, shallow bowl silhouette with gorgeous colors from top to bottom. The sides of the bowl are transparent while the internal base of the bowl is opaque and features a swirl pattern with various colors. An impressively large and substantial work of handblown glass art weighing over 8 lb. Produced in the artist's 2400 Fahrenheit Art Glass Studio in Volcano, HI. Signed 'Mortara 2002' on the bottom. In excellent preowned vintage condition with very minimal signs of use. It's an absolutely stunning piece.
