These chairs are classic French bergères, likely inspired by or originating from the Louis XV style, recognizable through their elegant, curvilinear lines and refined carving. The frames are made of carved wood with a warm, medium-brown finish and a lightly distressed patina that suggests age and authenticity. The top rail of each chair has a gentle scalloped crest, complemented by softly contoured sides that frame the upholstered backrest. The arms are gracefully curved, with carved supports that flow seamlessly into the front legs, which are in the cabriole style — a hallmark of rococo aesthetics. Each leg terminates in a scroll (volute) foot, and subtle carved floral or shell motifs decorate the knee and apron, adding an understated decorative flourish without overwhelming the silhouette. The upholstery is a striking and contemporary contrast to the traditional frame. The fabric is Casamance Luminescence in a brown shade with some soft green lines. This updated fabric choice gives the chairs a modern personality, turning them from period antiques into statement pieces that bridge classical craftsmanship with contemporary visual style.
Excellent decorative presence suitable for a sitting room, library, or elegant salon
