The huge … Read more Palatial country French provincial style farmhouse dining table crafted on a grand scale measuring over 13 feet long. The huge plank top has subtly rounded or curved ends supported by a massive trestle base. The trestle features fleur de lis shaped or baluster shaped legs conjoined by a long stretcher having an exposed mortise and tenon joinery. The table is constructed from oak timbers over 2 inches thick with an intentionally weathered, distressed patina to mimic the age of an 18th century piece. The artisan cerused or limed painted finish is weathered and distressed with visible wear complimentary to the design in the European farmhouse aesthetic. The cerused finish showcases the distinctive oak woodgrains as seen in the photos. The style of table offers ample leg room measuring 28 inches from the floor to the bottom. The table is crafted with hand-crafted details and pegged joinery. The table is very heavy and solid with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. Amazing scale and profile with a desirable patina.
