This Elliot Hall enamel box is a one-of-a-kind piece hand-designed by Fiona Bakewell and marked as a limited edition 1/1. Made in England and introduced in 2012, it features a blue enamel exterior decorated with a hawk rendered in Bakewell’s detailed freehand style. The box has a hinged lid that opens to a white enamel interior, and the side is signed “F. Bakewell.” The underside carries the official Elliot Hall back stamp.
Elliot Hall enamels are produced using traditional freehand techniques without transfers, and each piece reflects the studio’s focus on craftsmanship and limited-edition work. This example highlights Bakewell’s interpretation of wildlife themes and fits well within collections of contemporary enamels, English decorative arts, or unique 1/1 studio pieces.
